Accessing CalDAV information for Resources

Hi there,

We have a Scalix 12.6 setup which is working really well. Some of our users want to use the native Calendar software on their Mac's (or Thunderbird) - we have had no problem integrating their personal calendar with this, simply by using a URL like this:

https://mail.xxxx.com/api/dav/Calendars/Users/yyyy@xxxx.com/Calendar

However we have a Meeting Room Resource, which has the id "meetingroom@xxxx.com"

I have tried using this URL to access it but it doesn't work - if I try the URL in the browser I get a 404 error. Is there a way to get access to shared resources in CalDAV, or is it only possible in the Web UI?

and see if they work.

You should be able to get shared resources in CalDAV much the same as getting the mailusers CalDAV.
That is by simply logging in with the Shared Resource address and password.

Thanks so much for your quick response - those links work perfectly, thank you.

One question - if people in our company want to book the resource, what is the best process for this? Do they need to log in with the credentials of the shared resource (i.e. do we need to distribute them throughout the company), or can they book it with their own credentials?

I notice those URL's only work if I enter the resource username and password - they produce a 404 error if I log in with my personal credentials.

Hi James,

People of your company can book a resource directly.
However those users have to be premium users as shared calendaring is a premium feature.
