Date and Time

My Email received date and time appears to be 5 hours behind the time my server OS displays (eg I receive a message at 15:30, but the actual time (time my server OS displays) is 20:30).

I understood the date and time to be determined by the host OS. However, there must be a some setting to offset the time. Searches of KB and the forum have proved fruitless.

Thanks in Advance.

Hi. Each client (yes, even SWA) picks up the time and timezone offset from the PC it's running on, not the server time. Imagine if your Scalix server were in California and you were accessing it from the New York Office with SWA. You would want the time your messages were sent to reflect EST, not PST. The same goes for your Calendar events. Anyway, check your time and timezone setting on your computer to see what it's set to.

Thanks,
Rachel

OK, that's good to know. However, both my server and teh PC(s) from which I am currently accessing SWA are in EST, yet as I posted, the message delivery time is 5 hours behind. Any thoughts?
