Using SWA to manage other peoples cals

Postby jeffrhysjones » Thu Oct 27, 2005 7:23 pm

We have a requirement whereby a PA needs to have access to the calender of her boss. She needs to see which meetings he is booked in on, and then re-arrange them if needed.

She uses an Apple Mac - and thus I'm assuming she would have to use SWA.

Is this possible in SWA now / soon / ever?

Thanks,

Jeff

Jeff,

sorry I can't be of any help, but I'm looking for this but also access to a users contact list. I guess that on the enterprise version you can use the Deligation to grant access but I havent tried this (yet) on the community version.

Thanks les,

I would like contact data access also - but mainly access to change meetings.

These are the community forums, but am very much interested in buying the Enterprise Version. I know it's possible to mange others calendars via the Outlook connector, but it's not so clear if this is possible in the SWA version.

If someone could at least tell me this feature was on roadmap, and roughly when, I feel confident that I would get the green-light to make a purchase. Otherwise I need to move on....

As known from some other posts here, neither the Community or Enterprise version of SWA supports delegation at this time.

However, it is on our Roadmap as a high-priority feature and will be available in one of our next releases. I'd expect this to happen sometime in 2006.

This would then be true for both Calendaring and contacts and eMail as well.

Cheers,
Florian.
