Mail not sending... going to Drafts folder instead

Hi everyone! This is my first time in the forum and with using the Scalix system. I did an install of the Community Edition 11 on a SLES10 box. Everything seems to work fine and I can access the SAC and Webmail interfaces. The problem I am having is when I compose a new mail message and send it to another account in the Scalix system the message pops up in the Drafts folder and doesn't get delivered to the intended local recipient. I can't seem to figure out why. If anyone could tell me what I am missing I would appreciate it. I appologize in advance if this is already an open topic somewhere else. Thanks everyone!

A little more info...

It seems that I can send e-mail as the sxadmin user to any other user but when I try to send mail from a user account other than the sxadmin I see it go into the outbox and then disappear and when I do a Send/Receive it instantly pops into the Drafts Folder. Could this be an issue with permissions on the Suse 10 server? The server is not part of a domain, LDAP is NOT configured, and therer is no active directory. Hope that helps a little.

Hi, i´m also new to the forum. Last week i installed the Community Eddition 11.0.2 on a fresh ubuntu 6.06 TLS server installation. Everything went fine (thanks for the very good installation guide on debian/ubuntu! :D), except for the same problem mentioned above.

The first user created during the installation can send mails to the second created user (only internal mail configured) and the mail will be delivered nicely. When the second tries to answer (or send a new mail), the message will not be be delivered, but show in the drafts folder.

Neither the first nor the second user is member of a Scalix-Admin-Group nor member in the scalix-group in /etc/group.

Just to complete:
the log-files do not mention any error (/var/log/messages, /var/log/mail.[info, log, warn, err].

Hi,

Thanks for the link . Setting a password solved the problem

:D

Hint: I searched the forum for nearly 6 hours, but did not find the solving thread. Maybe the search should be adjusted a little bit (putting the search-phrase in "word1 word2" should only find the concatinated words, not word1 only. But that is a litte off topic.

best regards
a satisfied scalixuser

That's great! The search has two options if you would have marked, one in which all words
are searched and other for any terms or use query as entered. You can select between
these two by selecting the appropriate radio button, I have seen this to work most of the
times.

Thanks,
Subir
