Hi

This is a generic error which doesn't highlight the underlying cause.

More detail can be found in the Tomcat logs for swa. The logs are situated in the tomcat home directory as logs/scalix-swa_log.YYYY-MM-DD.txt.

I get the same errors.
The error message says that the Drafts folder ("Entwürfe" in German) can't be opened. It seems to me that this is a problem with German umlauts. Is there a way to circumvent this?

Can you post some of the tomcat logging that shows this error ?

Is this version 8.2 or 9.0 ? Our 9.0 evaluation does not contain a German-language version of SWA. Can I ask where you got this version of the client ?

Cheers

Dave.

This is version 9.0, obtained through your evaluation program. Well of course it doesn't contain a German-language version of SWA, but that is part of my problem. The German version of Outlook seems to create the "Entwürfe"-Folder, and SWA can't access it because of the umlaut in the name (at least thats the way I understand it). Can I somehow tell SWA to skip that specific folder? It woudn't be such a big problem if this folder was inaccessible from the web, but the error causes the whole web application to become unusable.
Or am I on a completely wrong trail here? Please enlighten me...

You are quite correct in your diagnosis.

I don't have a magic wand to wave over this to make SWA useable in this case.
If you sign on to a brand-new mailbox with SWA first and then use Outlook, this will work.

I have raised this issue to our labs. I can't give any timescale to fix at present.

Cheers

Thank you nevertheless. I'll go your proposed way to have a look at the web application.
