When my users click on the File Attachment button, a Security Information popup appears that says:


I'm sure you've all seen it before.

Does anyone else see this behaviour? I searched and couldn't find any mention of it. What is the actual URL of the File Attachment page? How can I remedy this?

Can it be that no one else is seeing this in SWA?

I see the same thing but only on Internet Explorer. This is very confusing to users and I'd like to stop this.

Anyone know how to fix this? I viewed the page source but I don't see anything that stands out.

There is a known issue with internet explorer having dificulties with iFrames, especially when they have an "invalid" src (e.g. src="about:blank")

Maybe swa is using an iFrame for the attachment popup window ?
If that's the case then unfortunately this can only be fixed in swa by poiting the iFrame to a real page (instead of about:blank for example)
Or you can ask Bill to fix it

Note: I haven't tested it, but it might be fixed in IE7

I just realized you can fix it yourself, although this is not the recommended way:
open IE -> Tools -> Internet Options -> Security -> Custom Level -> Miscellaneous -> Display mixed content
and set it to "Enable" instead of the default value "Prompt"

That's cool, it's an option, but one that sucks, not your fault though. :)

Just surprised that SCALIX hasn't a fix for this bug...

I'd just assume everyone use firefox but can't always force that. :(

Unfortunately, the only real fix can come from Scalix. Could someone from the company please chime in on this matter? It is VERY confusing to users who don't know much about computers.

Well, I have to admit my word choice wasn't entirely correct

It's more a workaround than a fix, and I don't recommend it as stated before.
But at least you have the choice of using this workaround as a temporary "solution"

I'm running 11.4 and can report it isn't fixed. You're right that is confuses users, that's for sure! Mine is using IE7. I've suggested the workaround for the time being.
