Webmail Freeze

Postby lukec » Fri May 06, 2005 6:35 pm

Hi there, I'm having a problem with a scalix installation. When is load up webmail in the browser, everything appears to be OK, the messages appear in the inbox, but then I can't click on anything. The webmail appears to be completely non interactive. I have tried this on several different machines using firefox.

I have uninstalled scalix, removed the message store, cleaned out the preferences in sysconf, reinstalled, and rebooted and the problem still persists. Could this problem come from installing a scalix installation overtop of another ?

Can anyone provide me with a clue as to what else to do and where else to look ?

Are you using Firefox 1.0.3? SWA Webmail is not currently supported on 1.0.3. If you fall back to 1.0.2 it will work. Support for 1.0.3 is in the next release.

Firefox 1.0.3 Broken

Postby lukec » Mon May 09, 2005 11:26 am

Yes, version 1.0.3 of firefox does not work. It does seem strange that a minor version point is breaking webmail. Is there an explanation ? Did I miss the warning that says "do no upgrade to firefox 1.0.3 it will break your webmail" ?

When do you anticipate releasing an update ?

Thanks,
Luke

Luke,
there _are_ several post in this section and the Support section.
1.0.3 Release was on Apr 15th (Friday), the detailed notice from ScalixSupport about the incompatibility was on Apr 20th. I think this _is_ fast.
1.0.3 is not just a minor release. There are some fixes for security problems.
BTW: It seems that not just Scalix-Users are affected. There were reports about some extensions with problems.

You might have a look at this post:

9.2.1 is on the way ...
