Firefox losses focus when mail is checked

Hi
This seems like a bug/feature, I have only tested it with Firefox 1.0.1 yet.
If I start the webmail klient from Firefox 1.0.1 and then opens a webpage where I can enter information into an edit field.
If I start to enter information into the edit field, that field will have focus. Now wait for the webmail client to perform a check-mail operation, the edit field will keep focus al the time untill the check-mail is performed. It then losses focus, and will not get focus back until i manually click the edit field.
This is very annoyinig, especially if you have several webapplications.
If I start the webmail klient in Firefox and use IE to surf the web, this will not happen. If I start the webmail klient in IE and surf the web with Firefox this will not happen, if it happens if I use IE for both I don't know.
