r2netcmd.bin

Postby Mouseclone » Fri Oct 01, 2010 8:36 am

What is r2netcmd.bin used for? I seem to have one user that launches several of these and slows the system down.

As you can see it is the same user. I'm sure that this has something to do with SWA, but I'm just not sure would could be causing his issue, which is an issue for everyone else that uses the server as it slows the server down. After killing these processes off, server returns to normal opperstion. So I'm really not sure what is causing the issues.

The user uses Outlook 2003 with Scalix Connect, SWA with IE8 on a Windows 2003 Terminal Server, and IMAP on a blackberry. This problem only seems to happen when the user is on SWA. The user might also use SWA from his house.

I'm not sure if there is anymore information that you could use. Please let me know if there is anything that i can attempt to try to resolve the issue. It is only happening with this one users.

Check out this thread:
http://www.scalix.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=881

You might try running
omtidyu -B -u <user name> -M
on that account and see if forcing the MIME cache generation helps.

Thanks for the reply. omtidyu never really finished and I'm not really sure why. I did get the problem resolved though. 5k+ emails in the sent items folder and stuff dating back to 2006 in the deleted. Just a clean up helped out a ton.

I wish we ran omtidy on the server all the time, but they will not put in a policy. Until that time is will just be hand holding. Thanks for the help.
