Webmail search not working

I am running latest scalix on centos 5 and I have tried using sxmindex yet still searches in webmail never work.

LANG="en_US.UTF-8" so it is not that and I have also tried rebuilding the users imap-cache.

I get the WARNING Notification M(Notification M) 09.24.10 16:24:51

Right about whenever a user runs a search.

The following steps might help:

1) stop the indexer
kill $(omsetsvc -p indexer)

2) make sure it is dead, if not wait a couple minutes and goto 1) but consider using -9
ps -ef | grep indexer

3) remove the indexwork and indexes dirs
rm -f /var/opt/scalix/??/indexes/*
rm -f /var/opt/scalix/??/s/indexwork/*

4) total reindex
sxmkindex -r 0


Depending on IO speed and email amount the last step could take days.
