On one computer using webaccess it hangs

Postby audiotron2002 » Fri Mar 10, 2006 10:13 am

I cannot figure this out. Maybe someone can offer some suggestions for troubleshooting.

I cannot get Scalix web access to work on one computer. I have tried both firefox and IE6. after the login screen, the window hangs and the "popup" never shows up. Yes I have disables all popup blockers and yes I have enabled cookies.

Any suggestions as to what may be causing this. Other popup windows work -- just not scalix.

COuld this be a local java issue? What other program can I install to remedy that.

It is a Windows XP machine. And its only this machine!!

First thing to check is if you have an error indicator in the bottom right of your browser status bar. This usually highlights a problem with Javascript.

You could try to bring up the Javascript console and see if that is logging any errors.

Cheers

No error at the bottom. The java console has many many errors. undefined pointers unable to locate etc... etc..

I guess I can try installing java. This is weird.

This is definitely not a Java issue. SWA uses JavaScript, which besides the name has nothing in common with Java.

so can anyone suggest what i can look for on this computer? I just installed Windows defender and it looks pretty clean.

when i login the screen turns to "logging in" and no popup window is displayed. If I do not enter in a username and password, I get the same screen.

Have you seen anything on the server side? Perhaps there could be some clue in the log files.
