is there a way to acomplish this:
1. have the standard system addressbook
2. have the standard personalized addressbook for each user.
and... number 3
3. have an external ldap (or any other interface/storing/database) addressbook , with public read access, with write access limited to some users.
the access must be authenticated, and the addressbook must be searcheable and managed from the SWA addressbook.

has anyone done this? is there a hack i can use to enable this on the SWA addressbook.
thanks for your soon reply!

1 and 2 happen already right? For number three, have a look at page 103 of the installation guide.

I have a similar setup which I described here, but you won't be able to manage it through swa, just sac.

To clarify, SWA can only READ contact data through LDAP. The primary contacts folder in swa is accessed in two different ways - through IMAP for read/write when you actually work in the folder and via LDAP for quick searches. However, only your primary contact folder can be made available in this dual way.

You'll be able to access an external directory though, readonly.
