Resource booking feature and Appointment-Bug

Postby lansv » Mon Feb 27, 2006 5:21 am

Hi,

we're currently evaluating Scalix 10.0.343 (under Fedora Core4) and testing the features in SWA. Perhaps we're making some mistakes or the expected features are not supported under SWA. Okay, here are my problems and questions:

1. Resource Booking
I found a posting, that says resource booking with SWA is "due for release sometime later this quarter". I hope so because we await it eagerly.

2. Appointments
If you have been invited to an appointment and accepted it, you're able to move the appointment (accidentally) in your SWA-calendar without any interaction such as an attention-popup or information-request for the other members of the appointment. As a result, you changed this appointment only in your own calendar (by mistake). Is it a bug?

3. Not SWA but still of interest for us: Evolution connector features
Will there be a support for resource booking or the delegation for calendars and e-mails in a (near) future release, because Outlook is not an option for us?

Thanks in advance,
Sven

lansv,

1) Resource booking is supported by the web client in Scalix 10.

2) No, this is not a bug. Outlook/Exchange behaves the same way and we chose to copy Outlook's behavior. The idea is that you may want to change your own copy of the meeting for any particular reason.

Sven,

with regards to question 3: we have no specific plans for delegation or resource booking at the moment.

Carsten
