SWA: Rules wizzard, move Mails, just one Copy

Postby SilentWarrior » Thu Jan 14, 2010 8:24 am

Is it possible to move Mails with the rules wizzard.
I have some rules for incoming Mails, eg:
Put Mail to xy@domain.de into folder Incoming/xy
Put Mail with "[Spam]" in subject line to folder Junk-Mails

Now I have the Problem that if the Mail is marked as Spam this two rules place the Mail in both folders not only in the Spamfolder.
But unfortunatly there is no Option to say in the first rule IS NOT "[Spam]" into subject line just then do this.

Any ideas to solve this problem ?

Thanks

The Outlook wizard have a "stop processing more rules" option that may help you.

Unfortunately Outlook must run to use this rules and every Client must have Outlook...

It should be a function on the server... Client independent.

At least the webclient should have some more options for the user to manage his mails. The actual state of the "rules"-function isnt really much too complex, just to be gently ;)

You can set up server-side rules with the Outlook rules wizard. Just ensure you are using the Scalix one and not the built-in Outlook one, and make sure the rule is not marked client-side. You only need Outlook for when the rule is created. Once this is done you can look at the 3d file with tf.browse and implement similar rules from the server-side. Granted, not as easy as the web rules wizard or sxaa, but it will work. You can also modify sxaa to create rules for you this way, once you know how they look.

Unification of the different rules wizards are on their radars now, but I don't know when they will finish that.
