Displaying of Contacts in SWA

Postby Valerion » Wed Feb 22, 2006 4:02 am

Last night I was going through my contact list in SWA (not something I've used a lot before), and I noticed that some of them didn't show up with Phone numbers. I opened one of the contacts, and saw that the "Home" and "Work" numbers was blank, but the "Mobile" number filled in. When I press "Update", without making changes, it displays the number correctly in the SWA main screen. I proceeded to update all my contacts.

This morning, when I opened my Outlook, I saw that the contacts I updated last night now had a seemingly empty "BDY.HTML" file in the Comments field (bottom left of the Contacts window). I blinked a few times, then proceeded to go through all my contacts, deleting the "BDY.HTML" icons.

I then re-opened the SWA to see what the impact was, and now all my Phone numbers are blank in the main screen, exactly like it was last night before I started. If you open and update the contact, it will display again.

What is stored in the "BDY.HTML" file, and would it be possible to hide this in Outlook? And to display the first phone number that exists, even if it's only the mobile number, without having to Update the contact?

I have a similar problem. We have about 300 persons in the system directory, and not all of them show up when I attempt to request all system addresses in SWA.

Nevermind on my post. Was able to fix the problem by increasing contact/address retrieval size in the "swa.properties" file.
