Using different domains to access SWA

Postby natediggs » Tue Nov 03, 2009 12:04 pm

Hi Everyone,

I'm running the hosting edition of Scalix for my business and I have several different customers accessing the box. I want to set it up so each domain can access the SWA login page using mail.theirdomain.com. I'm certain there are ways to do this with Scalix and I'm curious what others here have had success with.

I know that it shouldn't be too much to ask to have my customers go to mydomain.com/webmail to log into SWA but customers have a hard time remembering that. Especially if I'm switching them off of an ISP provided email service which they've been using for years.

OK, I found an entry in a how to to forward the normal virtual host to the normal SWA URL. Now I want to add virtual hosts that can access SWA. I really just want to be able to forward the URLs to the correct SWA URL. Anybody had any success?

Alright, figured this one out.

Created a CNAME record for mail.domain1.com that points to mail.mydomain.com.

Created a forwarding entry in /var/www/html/index.html that forwards http://mail.mydomain.com to http://mail.mydomain.com/webmail
