Make Webmail Client Open in same Window

Is there a way to make the webmail client open in the same browser window as the authentication was entered in?

unfortunately no, because of the way we use javascript, we need a newly initialized window to prevent trojan horse attacks, etc.

in scalix 10, the login window turns into another dialog box after the main window gets opened, so any misconception about having to relogin is gone away.
