Forcing session to be in a new browser window, why?

Just curious why you've decided to make your system always open session in new window after login?
Is there an option to change this behavior? Look really annoying, never seen this on any web-mail client.

Yes, this can be changed. However, if you use the Back button, it messes up the JavaScript badly, I've found, confusing the client. I like multiple windows, because I can put them next to one another at the same time, similar to what I do with Outlook.

add ?rlw=true to your URL, right after webmail. This means "Reuse Login Window". The problem is that you will still need to enable pop-ups because new-mail windows are still separate, as are some other things.
The design has been done to create the most app-like experience possible and we've gotten that very feedback from our customers. With this being said, we're looking into major overhaul of the UI for future versions, i.e. Scalix 12 or so. No dates yet, but stay tuned.
