Serious Error "Invalid Sequence Number: -1"

Postby rudi » Thu Feb 09, 2006 12:02 pm

Hi,

I have a serious error in scalix web access (Community Edition). Some emails contain this:

Von: bad.email
Datum: Don, 2/9/2006 4:50 PM
An: uid(-1) msgid(515)
Cc: uid(-1) msgid(515)
Betreff: MAIL SERVER ERROR: Sorry, but this is not a valid MIME email message! <--- [error]

FEHLER:
Scalix Web Access konnte diese Nachricht nicht verarbeiten
Mime Fehler:
A20 NO FETCH invalid message set; nested exception is: com.sun.mail.iap.CommandFailedException: A20 NO FETCH invalid message set
here is the original message:

Do you know this problem?

Thanks for help!

This can happen when you have other clients accessing the same mailbox and deleting messages at the same time.

Is this the case ?

This is something that we have fixed in the next release ( due Feb 14th ).

Cheers

Dave

I am getting the same problem in swa only.

message header:

Code: Select all

From: bad.email To: uid(847) msgid(4) Cc: uid(847) msgid(4)
Subject: MAIL SERVER ERROR: Sorry, but this is not a valid MIME email message! <--[error]

message body:

Code: Select all

ERROR:
Scalix Web Access could not correctly parse this message because it is not a valid MIME e-mail message.

Contact the sender and have them fix their mail application (which is sending out the invalid MIME message.)
Mime Error:
A468 NO some of the requested messages no longer exist; nested exception is: com.sun.mail.iap.CommandFailedException: A468 NO some of the requested messages no longer exist
here is the original message:

what is strange, is if i move said messages to another folder, all of the sudden they are readable, however this should not be considered a work around.

also, I am using scalix 10.0

David.

Hi David,

Try running

sxfixdref -f

Let me know if that fixes the errors you are seeing.

Thanks,
Don

well, i did that and it output

Code: Select all

[root@sxserver root]# sxfixdref -f
sxadmin /sxserver,example: 0
sxqueryadmin /sxserver,example: 0
...
John Doe /sxserver,example: 0
...
+Bulletin Boards: 0
Total directrefs fixed: 0
[root@sxserver root]#

It appears to have not fixed anything. but I have a new problem now. I cant even view my inbox in scalix web access as it just says "Loadinf Folder" indefinately.

Thanks,
Don

Have you tried rebooting?

What version of Scalix?

Thanks,
Don
