We can't enter calendar appointments via webmail. I see two other people have had the same problem , but don't see what the solution is for it. Anyone know how to fix this??

And when did this start? What changed to cause this behaviour?

I can't really say.

I don't use the web interface so I never noticed the problem until one of our police officers gave me a call. Only thing I can think of is we rebooted the server the other day.

If you think the reboot changed the behaviour, check that everything that should be running is actually running.

It's been recommended that I reinstall the webclient. going to give that a shot and see where I wind up.

Hello ive had the same problem twice!!!!

with the first time the solution was to reinstall the intire Scalix server, and upgrade it from 11.3. to 11.4.3.
Reconfigured the whole dam thing.

after some testing and configuring on the new installation, the problem accourd again.
i was almost crying. I dit a roll-back of every possible configure action ive made, and discoverd the problem in the Public folders.

If you have a calendar added under a Public folder, and you gave it rights for groups or persons, the problem accourds by me.

So it seems like a hard traceble bug in scalix.

If you have a calendar connection with outlook, thunderbird or evolution the problem does not accour.

I hope i was helpful.

(Running on Redhat enterprise server 5.1)

Greetings marcel vs

Hey Marcelvs,

So are you saying setting permissions in public folders cause this problem? Were you able to fix it without having to reinstall?

do you have added calendas under the public folders,
if the anser is Yes, delete them.

this is how i solved it the second time.

For me is it a tempory solution because i want to use the PF calendars again.

So I still hope for a good solution.

Good god I can't do that! We use public folders to schedule conference rooms and all that.

I guess I'll try the reinstall and see if that fixes it. Then from now on will be aware that adding calendars to public folders does this..

Hi keywestcity,

Don't use public folder calendars fot confrence rooms!
Use resources instead! these can be booked by user itself !

see an earlier post, we had the same issue here!

What's the difference between Public and Resource callendar?

I had the same issue even when played with Resource callendar (over SWA only)... Both 11.4.2 and 11.4.3 versions.

Resources have Free/Busy, while calenders do not. You can therefore schedule your meeting without having to compare multiple calenders to one another.
