firefox on Mac OSX

This is on Mac OSX with Firefox 3.0
When I resize firefox (zoom in) so I can read SWA better after I open a message the main window in SWA reverts back to the standard small view (it zooms back out). With all other websites I guess the cookies recall the zoom level.
How can I keep this from happening, doing this all day gets a bit old
