SWA - Evaluation period expired

If any can help? I have a scalix installation with approx 50 users and swa has been working fine until a few days ago.

I have pasted the output of:
omstat -a
omstat -s
rpm -qa | grep scalix

I have rebooted, I have restarted tomcat manually, even if I stop tomcat repeatedly it does not warnm that tomcat is not running, i.e. i can repeatedly issue: /etc/init.d/scalix-tomcat stop and not get a warning that tomcat is not running?

Any pointers ?

The license is in a file found in /var/opt/scalix/??/s/LicenseKeys
please post the file

ok this should be ok...

maybe scalix has some problems with handle errors from imap.
i would check the logs my catalina.out logfile or my omshowlog to see if there is further evidence of the underlying problem

try to login and wait for the error
then you can do

omshowlog -p 5
(5=Minutes in the past)

and you can try to reset the imap cache for one of your problem user
this is a nice script for that.

Check in /var/opt/scalix/??/tomcat/logs for the swa error
or
Also check the fatal file in /var/opt/scalix/??/s/logs, maybe you will find there related errors.

by the way, why did you use this old version from scalix???
you should upgrade to the newest!!
11.4.X is very stable and very faster then 10.x.x!!!

I am out of the office now but will try these tomorrow, tks. I'm using scalix 10 because thats what I inherited, i have very little mx/scalix experience.

The central Webmail host - provided by your central IT - is on Scalix 11.4.2.

Frontend servers using SWA 11.4.1 and higher and back end servers using Scalix 10 will cease to work together on December 31st, 2008. If you plan to continue using the configuration after this date, you will need to upgrade all your Scalix 10 servers to Scalix 11 as mixed configurations will no longer be supported.


If you/your users have VPN-access you will be able to use your local webmail (http://lmkzr.r???s.com/webmail).

But we should see that we get your system (and the other systems in your organisation that are affected too) upgraded asap.
