If you get an error with Firefox clients that says "A script on this page may be busy...", just open the url about:config and change dom.max_script_run_time from 5 to 10.
I had this issue with a heavily tuned firefox profile and it disappeared when I created a new profile, but I wanted to keep my other settings intact. This was how I solved it.

This is actually documented in the Scalix Installation Guide on page 38 under Post-Installation tasks.
To resolve this problem, modify the configuration settings for your browser as detailed here:
- Open a new browser window (in addition to the existing browser window).
- Enter this text in the Location field.
about:config
A long list appears. - Enter this text in the Filter Bar at the top of the about:config page:
dom.max_script_run_time.
The previous list is reduced to a single entry as you type. - Double-click the remaining line of text.
The Enter Integer Value dialog box appears. - Click in the text field and enter 30.
- Click OK.
- Close all browser windows, then reopen a window and reconnect to your Scalix
mailbox.
Your Firefox browser should have no more javascript problems with Scalix.
Cheers
