If you get an error with Firefox clients that says "A script on this page may be busy...", just open the url about:config and change dom.max_script_run_time from 5 to 10.
I had this issue with a heavily tuned firefox profile and it disappeared when I created a new profile, but I wanted to keep my other settings intact. This was how I solved it.

This is actually documented in the Scalix Installation Guide on page 38 under Post-Installation tasks.
To resolve this problem, modify the configuration settings for your browser as detailed here:
  1. Open a new browser window (in addition to the existing browser window).
  2. Enter this text in the Location field.
    about:config
    A long list appears.
  3. Enter this text in the Filter Bar at the top of the about:config page:
    dom.max_script_run_time.
The previous list is reduced to a single entry as you type.
  4. Double-click the remaining line of text.
The Enter Integer Value dialog box appears.
  5. Click in the text field and enter 30.
  6. Click OK.
  7. Close all browser windows, then reopen a window and reconnect to your Scalix
    mailbox.
Your Firefox browser should have no more javascript problems with Scalix.

Cheers
