use port 8080 for SWA intead mod_proxy_ajp

Postby hafiz » Tue Sep 23, 2008 2:04 am

Hi list,

Is there any impact or side effects if I plan to deploy SWA not using mod_proxy_ajp but directly using port 8080 to access.

Example http://mailserver:8080/webmail

Thanks

Well, II think the only feature that would not work is the "Rules Wizard"

Any other features I'm missing that cant work if using default port 8080 ?

Actually, the RW is not served out via tomcat at all, but is generated by pure HTML/CGI pages. So if your apache is set up correctly, and you have the correct URL in your SWA config file it should work without mod_ajp.

Valerion,

Thanks, I manage to get Rules Wizard working now by changing the swa.properties settings below

Code: Select all

swa.settings.rulesWizardURL=http://FQDN/Scalix/rw

Return to “Scalix Web Access”
