Hello Group,

I wonder if anyone has much experience using a mobile device to check their email. Because the webbrowser on my phone (Audiovox 5600) is not supported for scalix webmail, i have configured a pop3 account for loggin in and checking the server for mail. Unfortunately, only mail that is in the root of the inbox is downloaded and displayed. All messages in subfolders is ignored and not accessible. As well, sending mail is not possible.

Are there any tricks to making this work? I know i haven't provided much detail, but i am not sure where to start on trouble shooting.

Thanks in advance.

Bryan

The POP3 protocol doesn't allow for folders at all so you will not be able to download any messages in them.

For the mail submission, you will be going through the SMTP Relay. If you're using a mobile phone, chances are you will have a dynamic IP address. This makes it impossible to write an anti-spam rule ( to allow you to submit messages) based on that information. Instead, you need to authenticate with the SMTP Relay using your mailbox login and password.
