Search stopped working in 11.0.3

Hi!

Can you send the result for the following command for the user in question:
omshowu -n <lastname>
Note: <lastname> is for the user in question.

Want to check if the user has a valid SIS URL.
Also check if you find some error in following log files at /var/opt/scalix/??/tomcat/logs/:
scalix-sis-indexer.log
scalix-sis-search.log

We have tried all the referenced items already and have not resolved the problem: restarted indexer, reconfigured indexing, rasied ulimit, ran sxmkindex, etc...etc....

The bug reference above appears to be blocked or closed... I cannot access it. I oul ask that it be reopened because it appears several people are showing this in 11.0.4.

Hi All!

I have reported the issue being experienced by you all in the bug # 12081. Needful steps
should be taken in order to resolve the issue.

Lets do the following and see if these help, the first two requires high CPU usage so try
at lower load time:
1. omscan all the mailboxes,
2. pre-generate MIME,
3. Check if search works for any other user, and
4. Check if users are able to login SWA-Mobile (http://scalix-server/m).

1. To run omscan for all users, you to perform the steps below:

omoff -wd0 omscan 
omscan -Z     
omon omscan

You need to watch the status of the omscan process using the command:

omscan -t

Wait until you get a message that says "Current server cycle not started;
service reset or delayed".

Now try to fix the mailstore related issues in active mode using the
below given command:

omscan -Aavfx

2. To pre-generate MIME for all users:

omtidyallu -M

perform steps 3 and 4 mentioned above and see if search works.

I can tell you that I have already done all these things... and that I run a nightlly omscan to fix items and have run several MIME pre-generations. I can also say that load on this box is between 1 and 2.25 on average. This is not due to high CPU usage... I am averaging 75%+ idle.

SIS in installed on that same machine.

index.max.queue.size=200
search.max.results=200
index.language=English

index.client.whitelist and search.client.whitelist have both the same values (IP of eth0 and 127.0.0.1)

We need to change the values of following:

swa.search.maxresults=20000

in file swa.properties and

index.max.queue.size=20000
search.max.results=20000

in file sis.properties. I have asked you to set it to 20000 assuming that the value you get
next to Total messages processed: " when you run the command "sxmkindex -r 00:00:00"
is less than 20000. Once you have edited both the files, restart scalix-tomcat service and
see if search in SWA works.
