Replying to message in SWA formats subject incorrectly

Postby stevemurphy » Wed Mar 01, 2006 7:40 pm

I have been running Scalix 10 for a little over a week now and just noticed a small bug in SWA. When two SWA users have a email conversation, the subject line gets an extra space between RE: and the subject.

So the subjects on a thread end up looking like:

Code: Select all

Subject
RE: Subject
RE:  Subject
RE:   Subject
RE:    Subject
RE:     Subject

Is this a configuration issue with SWA at my site? Are others seeing this problem? How do I solve it?

What browser are you using?

Thanks,
Don

Internet Explorer 6.0 on Windows XP. The problem also occurs in Firefox 1.0.7 on Linux, but it looks like the Firefox version reformats the subject so it looks normal in the list. Firefox does display the raw subject in the preview pane, where you can see the spaces have been introduced.

I'm seeing the same - German IE6 and Scalix 10.

Is anyone else seeing this issue? Is there an easy way to correct it? It is driving my SWA users nuts. If this is a bug in Scalix 10, will Scalix be releasing a patch to fix this issue any time soon?

Thanks,
Steve

Oops, I forgot to reply stating that I entered a bug for this. I have no timeline for a fix at this time.

Regards,
Don
