Login to SWA from a Joomla Environment

Postby barkzn » Thu Jul 19, 2007 2:47 pm

Hi, I am looking to implement Scalix as the mail client for users of our new Intranet, which will be based on the Joomla Content Management System.

Ideally I'd like to have a single login for both the Intranet and Scalix but before I go and investigate this on my own, has there been any development on synchronising logins between Scalix and Joomla - or even any APIs I can investigate to sync Joomla's (MySQL-based) user accounts with Scalix's?

Thanks

Hey, we're using Joomla for our intranet as well, and facing the same issue as you are. And we also have Confluence's Wiki and Jira. Our current mind set is to use the RHE ldap server (not openldap), and have them all authenticate from a common LDAP server. We should start implementation in about 2 months.

Thanks for the feedback - I kinda figured that LDAP would be a way forward. Keep in touch and perhaps we can co-operate although I am not an LDAP guru!
