Webmail/IMAP-access extremly slow after mail-import

Dear all,

I’m currently experimenting a bit with Scalix and do have an issue with Webmail and IMAP-access.

I imported an 800MB Outlook PST file with several subfolders and (obviously) a lot of mails to Scalix using Outlook 2003.

With Outlook 2003, this all works very fine. The import went smooth, I can look into the subfolders ect.

When I now try to access a large mail folder (>100 mails) by webmail, the CPU of the Scalix server goes to 100% load and after a few moments I get the error message
“Failed to display messages for folder XYZ. The browser received some data, but it was unable to display it. Click Send/Receive to try againâ€

Take a look at the man page for omtidyu / omtidyallu. In particular, the -M option.

If you're importing a large amount of data for the first time and you need to access it using IMAP, you have to "prep" the mailbox to generate some MIME-specific data.
