There is a script here.....http://www.scalix.com/wiki/index.php?ti ... minScripts

Just tried running that imap-cache script:

Code: Select all

[root@scalix ~]# ./imap-cache-reset bgrant@innflux.com
Usage: awk [POSIX or GNU style options] -f progfile [--] file ...
Usage: awk [POSIX or GNU style options] [--] 'program' file ...
POSIX options:          GNU long options:
        -f progfile             --file=progfile
        -F fs                   --field-separator=fs
        -v var=val              --assign=var=val
        -m[fr] val
        -W compat               --compat
        -W copyleft             --copyleft
        -W copyright            --copyright

        -W version              --version

To report bugs, see node `Bugs' in `gawk.info', which is
section `Reporting Problems and Bugs' in the printed version.

gawk is a pattern scanning and processing language.
By default it reads standard input and writes standard output.

Examples:
        gawk '{ sum += $1 }; END { print sum }' file
        gawk -F: '{ print $1 }' /etc/passwd
./imap-cache-reset: line 15: {print $2}: command not found
Do you really want to remove the imap-cache for bgrant@innflux.com (y/N)y
locking mail-account ...
ommodu: The user was modified successfully
killing IMAP-processes for user bgrant@innflux.com (uid ) ...
pkill: invalid user name: in.imap41d
removing /var/opt/scalix/sx/s/CN=Barry Grant Recovery Folder visible : NO User F
unlocking mail-account ...
ommodu: The user was modified successfully
done!

Checked his webmail login, still getting the same error. Do I need to restart anything for this to work?

The script hasn't run properly. There are two many errors listed above about awk.

Maybe you're missing some tools on the system.

Here is a manual way to reset an imap cache for a user....

Make sure the user is not logged in to any email client. Substitute FirstName and LastName for the users full name.

omshowu -f -n "FirstName LastName"

...will show some info like the example below ....
System Login : 55006
User Folder : ~/user/g00003b/00000v8:1

cd /var/opt/scalix/XX/s/user/g00003b

Make sure no processes are running via the users System Login (i.e. they have fully logged off),
ps -ef |grep 55006
kill any imap processes

then remove the imap-cache directory
then do
omscan -A -f -S -x -v -U "FirstName LastName"

Then try to re-login.

Would have been better to backup before deleting the user.....sxmboxexp.....then you could have re-imported with sxmboximp.
