The Rule Wizard not found Scalix (11.4.1u1 default install)

Postby riiiik » Fri Sep 26, 2008 2:02 am

I just installed Enterprise edition for a 60day evaluation and am currently trying to understand how to set up forwarding from a scalix mailadress to an external one.

Since no plugins was found after a default install I first tried to simply set up a rule via Webmail tools. But Clicking on rules Wizard menu gives me a NOT FOUND page URL/Scalix/rw not found on this server.

So that was a No Go!

Is this expected? I saw some discussion about a partners.xml file but that must have been an earlier version of scalix.

Anyone with an idea or the answer to this riddle??

Regards

When you install the software, it prompts whether you want the Rules Wizard to be allowed. Did you?

hmm,

I don't recognise that part.

Is it possible to add that afterwards or should one start all over?

In /var/opt/scalix/<xx>/webmail/swa.properties you should have the line:

Code: Select all

swa.system.hasRulesWizard=true

It is there but I still get page not found.

Could it be a differense between community edition and Enerprise edition?

I installed enterprise edition but the evaluation key that was posted to me was old (expired) as I got it. Issued 18 sept and expired 18 Sept.. :(

I have reinstalled from scratch but still have the same problem.

Send a request to Scalix Support (or your sales rep) asking for a new temporary license.

I got a new one today and installed it. The server accepted it.

I still don't have a rules wizard though. Rebooted after license installation to.

Any more ideas?

The rules wizard stuff should be handled by /etc/httpd/conf.d/scalix-web-client.conf, which is a link to /opt/scalix/global/httpd/scalix-web-client.conf. The important lines:

Code: Select all

ScriptAlias /Scalix/rw /opt/scalix/bin/ice.cgi/prof=RW-C
ScriptAliasMatch ^/Scalix/rw-(.*) /opt/scalix/bin/ice.cgi/prof=RW-$1

and the file:
# ll /opt/scalix/bin/ice.cgi
-r-sr-sr-t 1 scalix scalix 10788 Aug 6 14:48 /opt/scalix/bin/ice.cgi

Is all that in place? And is any error reported when you start httpd?

Yes all is there,

And yes , every time I try to access Rules wizard I get an error in Apaches log.

[Wed Oct 01 15:38:20 2008] [error] [client xxx.yyy.zzz.xxx] File does not exist: /opt/scalix/bin/ice.cgi/prof=RW-C, referer: http://servername.domain.example/webmai ... 17072392_1

Should have looked earlier , I know... javascript:emoticon('')

It was that simple...mod_cgi commented out in httpd.conf

Sorry and Thanks for all input.

Regards

Rikard
