User can't login, but system shows they are logged in.

Postby sardiskan » Fri Sep 26, 2008 9:30 am

I have a user, lets just say it ME. I was logged into the SWA yesterday and stayed in it all day. I left and didn't close out the browser window so it stayed logged in all night. I come in this morning and if I click on any new messages, the messages never come up. I decide to logout and log back in. Well, now I get an error when I try to login that says

Code: Select all

An error has occured. Contact your email Administration if this problem persist.

Well, I checked the system and from the command line, it looks like my user is still logged in, though I don't know from where. (The only way I know to check that is to use the sxmboxexp command. Of course if the user is logged in, by default, the sxmboxexp will not work unless you use the F flag to force it.) My question is, how do I force this username to show as NOT logged in. I'm unable to check emails at all from anywhere because the system thinks I'm already logged in. Or something else is going on.

Thanks

kanderson

kill the process associated with their login. You should be able to find that with omstat -u rci -c

That will also show what client they're logged in with.

Ok, I did that and it doesn't show the username that's having the problem listed. But again, when I run the sxmboxexp command w/o the F tag, it says the user is logged in. And going to SWA gives the error still.

You can have multiple clients logged on to the same account, so your problem here is something else. omscan. And be sure that omstat -u pc|grep -i <you> doesn't show you logged in at all.
