EXCHANGE MAPI CDO NOT INSTALLING

Postby rdpitti » Tue Jul 13, 2010 6:06 pm

I am trying to install BES and ScalixConnector on a win2003 server 32 bit.
After reading the instructions available on
http://downloads.scalix.com/rn/scalix-besconnect-1.0.1-GA-releasenotes.html
i am still unable to follow those step by step. The problem arise when i try to follow this part:

"Installing MAPI CDO
Install the Microsoft Exchange MAPI/CDO client. This is available for download from Microsoft."

the link send me to download a file called ExchangeMAPIcdo.exe

So far so good.
Then it ask me to install that file, and then install outlook2007.

Outlook 2007 refuse to install after ExchangeMAPIcdo is installed.

I am able to install the file ExchangeCDO with Outlook2007, and finishing the BES and BES connector installation smoothly, but my server are having troubles with 2 ways calendars syncs, and some blackberrys are unable to join the BES.

please note that ExchangeMAPIcdo.exe and exchangecdo are differents files.

can someone shed some light on the subject ?

yes it is a big one. I found a really old version of exchange mapi cdo (linked on a ZIMBRA forum.. shame on you scalix) but outlook keeps crashing .
What is really driving me mad is that i have a support ticket opened, and i am just waiting for an answer.... and waiting and waiting and waiting...
I JUST WANT SOME PLACE TO DOWNLOAD THE FILE YOU SCALIX PEOPLE USE TO INSTALL THIS CONNECTOR.
i wonder if zimbra can be a better option??? or at least have better support!!
