Newest touchdown fails to even setup.

The newest touchdown activesync client fails to work with scalix activesync, both the droid and incredible activesync built in clients do not work well with scalix is there another option?

Just for the benefit of other roadsync seems to work.
On the incredible it cannot sync contacts since HTC removed contacts and replaced it with "people", which seems to serve no other purpose than to break 3rd party apps.
