Verizon Droid not syncing

Hey folks!

Well, I had to be an early adopter, so I went out and bought a Droid the day it was released. I set up my Scalix server as a corporate account, and it downloaded and synchronizes my calendar and e-mails with no problem.

However, it only downloaded 5 of my contacts, and no amount of tinkering has been successful at changing that. I've removed the account, tried resyncing, rebooted the 'droid, etc. It downloaded my contacts from Facebook and GMail with no problem.

Background - I have been using the same Scalix/ AS account with a Samsung i760 since AS was released with no issues. I am also able to access all of my contacts from Touchdown, another ActiveSync app for the Google Android.

I'm not throwing stones - this may well resolve to be a bug in the 'droid ActiveSync app, but I *am* curious as to whether anyone else is experiencing similar troubles with their Droid against Scalix AS? I would continue to use Touchdown, but their contacts aren't available seamlessly to other apps (like the Phone, for example).

Any thoughts?

Any errors in scalix-wireless.log or omshowlog?

Have user with a Droid Eris, and she hasn't reported any issues...I'll check to see if she can sync, although the Eris is on Android 1.5 or 1.6, while Droid is 2.0...I believe.

No errors in omshowlog or scalix-wireless.log. This behaviour is totally consistent as well - I refreshed my mailbox entirely, and everything is working but my ^%#$ contacts - they simply don't get downloaded. I was hoping that the ANdroid update would have some mojo that would help, but alas, no.

Any other ideas?

Same issue here Scalix 11.4.6 Activesync 1.02.

All else is looking great.

I just installed a trial version of Touchdown Exchange from Nitrodesk - http://www.nitrodesk.com/dk_touchdownFeatures.aspx . This app is available on the Market as a five day trial. It has a price of $20. I just sucessfully synced email, calendar and CONTACTS. This leads me to believe the Activesync on the Droid may be broken. 20 bucks plus the ActiveSync is still cheaper than being on the Treo 700P using NotifyLink. Now I need to discover how to wipe a phone.

Not a device we've tested with.

ActiveSync compatibility is a complex beast at times. I think you should really connect to our support department to see this analyzed; the detailed logfile review we'll have to do is probably beyond what we can do in the context of this forum.

@ uncle_giavelli, I'm aware that Touchdown works (see my OP in this forum). But it's interface sux, IMHO. It also doesn't share teh contacts out to the rest of the Droid, it only shares info betwixt it's own apps (e.g. mail, calendar, and contacts).

@florian, I'll give teh Ottawans a call and see if we can get anywhere.

For what it's worth, I did upgrade our server to AS1.0.2 yesterday, and the behaviour is unchanged. I haven't had a chance yet to delete my 'Corporate' account on the Droid, and set it up again, but I don't expect great successes there either.

The interface does 'suck' but go into the general setup. Put a check into 'Update Contact changes to the Phone'. It does integrate with the Droid's contacts. Mind you I'm still playing since this morning but again... The Droid's AS seems to be the issue.
