Activesync HTC Touch. Double contacts. Categories gone..

Hi,

For a registered scalix install we have trouble with a HTC Touch.
For some reason it is almost impossible to keep the contact list without doubles.

Especially when a contact is added to the phone, it appears like 35 times in the scalix server and outlook. U can solve the problem by deleting the doubles from the webmail, but most of the time a new contact is added this problem appears again.

Last time i exported and removed doubles from his contact list. Started from scratch. Import all contacts -> let them sync to the server, after this use activesync on the touch.
The touch was up to date after doing this. It was only a day later i got a call that he had double contacts again. With the first contact he added to his phone.

Also he has a couple of custom categories for his contacts. After syncing the phone, the contacts which had a custom categorie didnt have a categorie anymore.


Could someone please explain me why this is happening and how i can solve this?
The customer used to have a stand alone outlook installation on which he used activesync to sync outlook to the htc touch. He told me he never had any trouble syncing this way and he was pretty upset with the current situation.


If someone knows a way to solve this problem, please let me know.
