iphone contacts

Ok wirdness. scalix 11.4.5 activesync 1.0.1
on the iphone I have the account setup , I can enable calendars and they work
and I can enable contacts and nothing happens, as in there are no contacts
I see a blank alphabetical listing, BUT if I DISABLE the contacts for the
"exchange account" and go into the contacts for that ....

I get a search keyboard , black alphabetical listing , area of the screen
BUT I CAN SEARCH CONTACTS AND THEY ARE THERE!

thought ..errors ..submissions ..deviations ?

I have a user who has justed moved his iphone (3g) from notify link to Scalix AS 1.01 and he is shouting about contacts not working properly. I'm going to struggle to get more details for a while, but it sounds similar to what was described above.

Anyone else finding similar?
