scalix activesync setup on a second testing server

Postby itsupport_ublox » Wed Jul 15, 2009 7:35 am

Hi guys

we really cannot get passed here, we have setup a Virtual Machine to give Activesync a try

current setup:
servername: server1.domain
1 Master scalix server, using omldapsync to sync from openldap directory server
using directly pam_ldap on linux server to authenticate scalix users.

activesync server setup:
Scalix Server hostname (IMAP) :server1.domain
-> SMTP server hostname : server1.domain
-> Enter LDAP port number:

for me it seems that this steps should be all to get active-sync working?

it seems to fail on authentication, could this have to do with the pam_ldap authentication we do? how does it try to authenticate?

thanks in advance

greets

Mike

got it to the point where it now results in a:

Code: Select all

 HTTP Status 405 -

type Status report

message

description The specified HTTP method is not allowed for the requested resource ().

the test did result in a Scalix LDAP Service crash where webmail logon was no more possible and had to restart Scalix LDAP Service on production server, it was not aborted and i did not see anything in logfiles, this is very ugly.

i stopped the testing active sync server for now.
