If anyone could advise me of any CRM systems that integrate into MS Outlook (and Scalix)?

Hello,

Scalix Connect does not currently support any CRM plug-ins for OL (or any 3rd-party plugins for that matter). Product Management is currently reviewing the possibily of supporting these (including the most widely-used CRM plug-ins) in future releases of Scalix. However, for the time being, none are supported.

You can go ahead and try some of these plugins out in a test environment and see if you can get them to work. If you are indeed successfull, in the interest of full disclosure, our (Scalix Support's) ability to support Scalix Connect will be somewhat compromised by this...

As a follow-up, even though it is not officially certified and supported yet, the Salesforce.com CRM plug-in has been known to work with Scalix Connect. Scalix is also making significant investments in 2006 to provide certified support for a variety of Outlook plug-ins. It would help with our prioritization efforts if you could let us know which plug-ins you are interested in using. Thank you.

Our prelimary testing with GoldMine went smoothly.

We ended up with Sugar however, and very few people needed or wanted the Outlook Plugin. I haven't tested it at all yet.

Hi Kevin,

were you able to get Sugar to work at all? I believe this is one of the bigger players in the US, isn't it? If you have a spare moment, I'd love to hear it if works or not.

Cheers,

Sascha.

Hi Sascha

Just to follow this up.

We've started to use the Outlook Plugin now with it, and so far, it's been 100% successful. Just plug it in and go.
