Posted: Mon Apr 16, 2007 9:15 am
I do installing Scalix-Connect about following HOW-TO:
___________________________________________________________________
- de-install all versions of Scalix Connect
- make sure no more Scalix processes are running through task manager
(maybe you want to reboot the machine at this point; please check for
sxcachemgr.exe,
sxualwsd32.exe,
sxservice.exe,
sxwipe.exe and
outlook.exe
- delete the scalix directories: /Program Files/Scalix and /Documents & Settings/user/Local Settings/Application Support/Scalix
- go to Control Panel/Mail/Profile and delete all Scalix profiles
- now, install Scalix Connect 11.0.3.1 (comes with the Scalix 11 GA release) and create a fresh profile
If this still doesn't work, please provide us with more informaiton:
- type of network used
- can you telnet <name-of-scalix-server> 5729 from the machine
- version of outlook used
- state of smartcache tray icon
- content of smartcache logfile (available through double-click on tray icon)
___________________________________________________________________
i have some Problems
with server selection the possibility exists of lotus and scalix
-by creating of a new mailing account the wizard asks me where store of smart cache for example in the profile
(it goes also externally on another place)
-i set checkbox for mobile use
but when i do this, he ask me for smart cache to and the checkbox for mobile use is also empty
the sync-protocol of smart cache look so:
================================================================
10:21:47 =============== Scalix-Cachemanager-Protokoll=======================
10:21:47 Synchronization started 13.04.2007 10:21:47 for Outlook_11_0_3
10:21:47 ================================================================
10:21:47 Connecting to Scalix-Server...
10:21:47 Connected
================================================================
and the system tray Icon is greyed out
by testing the connection with command shell
telnet <scalix.server> 5729 it works!
by switching from work online to work offline the Outlook hangs itself up sometimes, but that is normal.
