Outlook not rendering certain emails - converting to attachm

Have found several similiar incidents to this on these boards, but none exactly the same, so here goes.....

We have user(s) who subscribe to a newsletter (paid for).

I have a free trial, and can confirm the issue.
Maybe if you sign up and test it, you may also see the issue ?

When an email from the service comes through, ScalixWebAccess displays it perfectly. Outlook however, displays nothing in the body, and an attachment, with no extension on the file name. If you attempt to open the attached "file", or forward the email, you receive - "An unexpected error occurred. Reasons for the failure are unknown." If you attempt to save the attachment (which has " on either end of the filename), you get the error - "Cannot save attachment. An unexpected error occurred. Reasons for the failure are unknown.".

Outlook is working sending emails as both plain text and html. Sending / Forwarding does not seem to be an issue (apart from these emails).

Outlook version: 2002 (xp).
Client OS: Win 2003 Server and Win XP.
Scalix Connector: 11.0.2.28
Scalix Server: 11.0.2.17

Any help would be most appreciated - one of the people affected by this is our Chairman of the Board (why me ???) !!!

Did you ever get a resolution to this issue?

We are also having a problem with Crikey emails (Scalix 11.4.3) crashing Outlook.

<edit> The same emails open properly in Scalix webmail and using an IMAP connection via Thunderbird. I can post details of the Outlook crash messages if needed.

Further testing shows that these emails open using Outlook via an IMAP connection, but not using Scalix Connector (11.4.2).

In case anyone finds this thread in the future, the problem was solved for me by upgrading the server to version 11.4.5.
