deleting large numbers of emails

Hi,
I noticed a possible bug? when deleting a large number of emails.
I deleted 1200 emails from a folder and they duly disappeared from view (they were at the bottom of a (date sorted) folder and contiguous), however outlook was then now maxing out a CPU core and was unresponsive, and one of the columns, 'Date Received' was filled with the word 'Folder' in the entries that were now gone and this word was flashing regularly, perhaps once 1 second.

I kill the outlook process and restarted outlook and the folder was as expected and outlook functioned ok.
I then deleted 600 emails from a different folder and the same thing happened.
I admit I did not wait for Outlook for any great amount of time - just perhaps a minute or so.

Outlook 2003, WinXP.

@William

You should schedule an upgrade for your server and clients.

Upgrade the server software first, then upgrade the Scalix connect software on your client PC's.
There have been several bugs fixed between your version and the current 11.4.6. One of those problems could be the removal of a large amount of Email.
