Outlook 2003 supported?

Postby laramie » Wed Apr 14, 2004 12:08 pm

I am able to successfully use the Outlook Connector on Outlook 2002 (part of Office XP). Calendaring, send/receive, contacts, etc. all are synchronized properly with the server. The FREE/BUSY directory works fine as well.

I am not able to use the Outlook Connector with Outlook 2003, however. Calendaring is not synchronized with the server, FREE/BUSY info is not populated, send/receive only works properly when "Offline working" is enabled... there are probably other features that aren't working properly as well, but that's a preliminary list.

Is Outlook 2003 a supported version? If not, when will it become supported? If it is supported, are there special instructions for getting it to work with the Scalix Server, or a different version of the Outlook Connector that I need to install?

Thank you.

Hello,

Outlook 2003 will be a supported client in the next release, due out in May. The release notes will contain a discription of any functionality which is not supported (I know information Rights and SharePoint integration are two as they require additional infrastructure from Microsoft).

Hope this helps!

Well, my calendar says it's May. Is the release going to be on time?
