unable to view free/busy information

Postby laramie » Mon Apr 12, 2004 2:40 pm

Our outlook users are unable to view other users' free/busy information. Outlook reports "No information" (white bar with grey slashes through it) for other users' schedules.

The Scalix Administration Guide says that users need to be added to the FREEBUSY directory in order to share calendar information, and specifies that users are added to this directory when you use the -f option in the omaddu or ommodu commands. Neither of these commands mentions the -f option in their usage strings and simply appending "-f" to the end of the command doesn't work. Is there a way to determine whether a user already has an entry in the FREEBUSY directory?

Outlook has been configured to publish three months of calendar data every 5 minutes. Is there an error log, either on the client or on the server, that I could look at to see where the problem is happening?

I had the same problem, then I saw this following in the reviewers guide:

"Log into each Scalix account through Outlook and create a future calendar appointment (no attendee’s necessary). This will accelerate the publishing of each users free/busy data, which normally occurs on a timed basis, and as well serve a simple validation that the user was setup correctly."

After I created my first calendar entry for each user, free/busy information displays just fine.
