We are hitting an issue for some time now in two different isolated installations. Both locations are running 11.4.6 on both the server and the connector. Outlook versions vary from 2003 to 2007 (all service packs installed).
When a user adds a picture in their HTML signature and sends a new email sometimes on the recipient side (another scalix user of the same server) the email cannot be rendered in Outlook and the user gets a message that says: "This item cannot be displayed in the Reading Pane. Open the item to read its contents". When the email is double clicked and opened the user gets the message "Can't open this item. The List reference supplied is invalid".
When the recipient is a non-Scalix user ther email renders fine. When the specific email is accessed through other means e.g. IMAP (both outlook and Thunderbird), POP3 (both outlook and Thunderbird) or through the webmail, it renders fine.
If the aforementioned message is sent to a recipient in an external domain (different scalix server at another location) the recipient's Outlook expereiences the same rendering issue.
The incident as of yet cannot be recreated successfully. If for example the message with the picture in the signature is sent to multiple Outlook+Scalix connector recipients not all of them will experience the rendering issue.
Please note that omscan with fix mode enabled has been run on all mailboxes.
Has anybody else been hitting something similar?
