Can't search sent items

Searching sent items seems to be a problem when searching the "Sent To" field.
I'm having two distinct issues:
*When searching through somebody else's sent items (who has delegated to me and has given me access to their inbox and sent items), irrespective of what I enter into the "sent from" field to search for, I get all emails in the "sent items" returned. Even ones which don't match the search criteria.

*When searching through my own sent items, I get nothing returned, even the ones which were sent to the person named in the search criteria.

Any ideas?
