Outlook + connector not loading

Hi,
I'm seriously stuck with Outlook not loading. I open it and it pegs one of my four processor cores at 100%, for over an hour now so I don't think it's going to finish. The only other process running is sxHideObsolete.

I've killed and restarted Outlook, rebooted the machine, recreated the profile, removed the profile and connector and reinstalled, turned off smartcache. I don't think there's anything else I can try.

1) Try a different mailbox on this PC
2) Try this account on a different PC

This will tell you if it's a client-related or account-related issue. Also, turn off any add-ons in Outlook, one of them could be interfering.

It was working fine up until lunchtime. Loading took a few minutes before but nothing I couldn't cover with a trip to the coffee machine. Nothing installed today at all.

I think now that there's something deeper afoot. Outlook finally opened after 50 minutes but wouldn't send mail or let me into the tools menu. I got a message about reinstalling Outlook so I tried removing office and now that won't install - it stops responding.

I guess it's nuke from orbit and reinstall. Meeting tomorrow so I guess thats Monday and Tuesday spoken for then Never, ever had to do that with a Linux box.
