Wired Outlook issues

Postby docwalez32 » Wed Jul 29, 2009 9:46 am

Hello,

as mentioned in my previous post, I have still some Outlook issues. We've upgraded to 11.4.3 and now there are some people
complaining about mails that have been deleted but appearing on the next day in their In Tray (inbox) again.
Deleting the Imap-Cache, from affected user's directory or doing an omscan doesn't really help.

What could cause this error ? Any ideas would be great.

Bye,
Rafael

Out of curiosity, when the messages are "missing" from their inbox in outlook, do they show up in the Webmail client?

Are you using Outlook with Scalix Connect or via IMAP?

If the former, are you using a SmartCache or non-SmartCache profile.

Hello Florian,

sorry about my typo, installed Scalix version is 11.4.4. (we've upgraded 11.4.3 - 11.4.4).
All users are connected via Scalix Connect using Non-SmartCache profiles.

OK, then it's really a weird problem because NonCached-Outlook actually does the deletion (or actually: move-to-wastebasket) on the server in real time.

No impact from the IMAP cache.

Should check:
- are these really the same messages? (compare message ID - maybe a resend)
- configure auditng and check audit log for re-delivery
- is the initial move to waste reflected in other clients (e.g. SWA) correctly at time of move

next step would then be go turn on UAL logging and check the result of the underlying interactions between client and server. Step-by-step for this kind of debugging is out of scope of what I can do here, so either you'll have to search forums and wiki on examples of this or, with a support entitlement, kick of a case with our technical support department.

Cheers,
Florian.

Sorry about my earlier response. I misunderstood the original post.
