SonyEricsson PC Suite Synchronization

Hello --

we are using the Scalix Server version 11.3 and on my PC I have installed the outlook connect 11.3 with MS Office Outlook 2007. I have a Sony Ericsson P1i Smart Phone and used the SE PC Suite for Smartphones to synch calendar, contacts, tasks between mobile and PC.

Since I have installed the Scalix Connect I cannot synchronize between mobile and PC. When starting the sync process it aborts after a short while and the protocol gives the error message 'Ordner nicht gefunden' (which means folder not found).

My guess is that the problem is related to the fact that calendar,contact and task information is within the Mailbox folder residing on the server and being mirrored on the PC via smart cache in a differernt location than the PC Suite assumes where this data should reside (in a .pst file ??).

Within the PC Suite sync options I can configure the folder to use, but this is based on a tree-view of my Mailbox and does not cure the problem.

Anybody any ideas?

Sony Ericsson PC Suite for Smart Phones 1.3.19

I suggest you upgrade your PC Suite - 1.3.19 is an old version. It does work correctly on OL 2003 with and without SC, though it always picks a profile to use if you have multiple profiles.

Hi Valerion --

I did upgrade the SE PC Suite (1.3.33) but that did not cure the problem. It still complains about wrong folder.

As I already wrote, the PC Suite appears to access the PST Files from OUTLOOK (standard outlook.pst) but Scalix does not save the local copies of data in the PST files.

By looking for a workaround I stepped into another problem related to PST files which I will describe in a separate thread

Hi, I have the exact same Phone using Outlook 2003 with Scalix Connect - I have tried with both the Smart Cache on and off in different Profiles. Items are brought from the phone's calendar / contacts, into Outlook, but not from Outlook into the Phone. I am using PC Suite for Sony Ericsson, version: 1.4.4. Any help will be apreaciated

I've had issues with much newer versions, but I stopped using the software so I can't test any more. I've had the most success with 1.3.33, the 1.4's gave me strange issues and I never took the time to debug them.

hey,

try "My Phone Explorer" instead of the SE Suite. It works like a charm. I've spent a lot of time trying to get the SE Suite to work - no chance. My Phone Explorer works even with SmartCache-Users.
