Yes, it is still an issue at our company as well. Never did get a resolution to the problem - any updates on this?

Thanks,

Travis

do you know the commands to find a specific appointment and delete it from the CLI ? or even reset the whole user calendar ?

I think I'm back in a stable configuration after theses operations :

1- connect with a imap client to the user account and remove all messages in Calendar folder
2- obtain the System login and user Folder with the command : omshowu -n username -f
3- stop scalix server and check my user have no process left
4- go to the userFolder and delete two folders : imap-cache and 00000v8.ofs
5- sxmbcprep -B -u userName
6- deinstall scalix connector on PC, delete Profiles/scalix, reinsall connector
7- recovering calendar from funambol server used to sync PDA (in place of activesync)

is there a better way to do such operations ?

Gauthk -

Good to see you have yours working.

The problem I had was getting this error when trying to create a meeting. I would set it up and hit send then get this calendar error.

Hi
Can you clean the account has I did ? ( please don't do if you don't have a backup , I'm a newcomer and I'm not confident in the stability of the system after such operation)

Gauthk -

It happens to a lot of people - not just me so I can not isolate it to one user.

This came up today again from another user along with another problem.

User states 'I get an error message when launching Scalix that says
"Error reading data for a recurring Calendar Item: then the 'unrecognizable symbols'" '

Also - user reports

'I have recurring calendar items that are multiple weeks 'overdue' that I
cannot dismiss.'

Any ideas on how to resolve either of the issues?

(We are running the new Scalix Server version along with the new connector)

Thanks

Sorry to bump this old thread, but this is coming up again from our users and it is a big problem so hence me bumping it back up.

We have a few public calendars and one of them is having a problem. When any user tries to view the calendar or set up a meeting this error occurs:

Code: Select all

Error reading data for a recurring Calendar item: (bunch of ascii characters).

A few questions:

Are there any command line tools to use to clean up calendars or have them find corrupt appointments?

The shared calendar is named 'Conf room 1' - is that an actual user that I can go in as and delete calendar items? If I try from my account - it will delete the appt just on my calandar and not everyones. How do I go in and delete appt's so they will be gone completely?

Thank you

Update:

On our server I looked and the conference room is booked as a resource but had a user ID of Conf_Room_1.

I create a profile like I would a user and went in as Conf_Room_1 and when I loaded the account I got the error message!

So now I just need to find out how to figure out which recurring calendar item is causing this problem.

Any way to scan and try to find what is corrupted within this account or any other suggestions welcome.

Thanks

i am running into the same issue,

the calendar data has been imported from an outlook pst file which was running normally

is it possible to list the corrupted items, to manually delete and recreate them?

I ran omscan -Avfx on the server and that did not fix the issue. It must be one of the calender items is corrupt, but I would have to delete the entire calander clean and start over to fix it that is why I wondered if there was a way to pinpoint and search for any corrupt items.

I can confirm I'm seeing this as well.

I have a mailbox dump that I'll be investigating and Scalix is welcome to it if they'd like.

Thanks
Kev.

Kev,

Let me know if you find any way to resolve it- glad to see others are seeing it as well and not just me.

Would like to be able to find the corrupt item, get rid of it and not have to delete the entire calendar.

Thanks!
